Daughtry tours ahead of deluxe album release

Rock outfit Daughtry [ ] is readying a deluxe edition of its wildly successful 2006 debut as the band gets ready to head out on a month-long North American tour.

Daughtry, which toured with Bon Jovi earlier this year, will give to the road beginning Friday (Aug. 15) in Las Vegas. The group plans to crisscross the US, stop in the Canadian state of Ontario, and play shows for both national political conventions to elevate the ONE Campaign, which aims to raise knowingness about the issues of global poorness, hunger and disease. On Sept. 9, the Grammy-nominated rockers volition release an expanded reading of their quadruple-platinum debut, which topped The Billboard 200 and remains on the chart after 89 weeks. The self-titled specify, which has spawned a half xII hit singles, is the fastest-selling rock debut in SoundScan history and the biggest-selling album of the past two years, according to a press release.

The deluxe edition features the record's original 12 songs alongside four bonus tracks, including acoustic performances of "Home" and "What About Now," and a cover of the Foreigner classical "Feels Like the First Time." A bonus DVD comprises videos for five-spot of the record's hit singles, asset live performances and sole interviews with the band members.

Daughtry fans also accept a chance to virtually rock out with the group since its single "What I Want" is included in the up-to-the-minute version of the "Guitar Hero" video game.

Daughtry was formed by "American Idol" finalist Chris Daughtry, world Health Organization quickly rose to fame in 2006 as a final-four contestant on the FOX-TV reality series. After being voted off the show, the band's namesake turned down an offer to replace Fuel's principal singer and formed his own group.
